DESIGN CONCEPT
A United Home for Two Generations
The Muji-inspired decor emphasizes a simple and unpretentious design atmosphere, focusing on creating a warm and comfortable feeling throughout the space. In the living room area, the owner's favorite raw concrete texture and natural wood tones are incorporated. The combination of different materials integrates the ideas of two generations, harmoniously expressing an elegant aesthetic and creating a happy home shared by both generations.
The entrance foyer features a screen with light and dark wood grain patterns and gray floor tiles, creating a natural element. Behind the door, the electrical box wall and beam area integrate storage for shoes and a seating area for putting on shoes, meeting practical storage needs while continuing the full-length raw concrete TV feature wall. The living room showcases deep blue and gray textured sofas paired with furniture and accessories accented by gold lines. The choice of materials adds a bright expression to the space, with warm sunlight casting shadows that blend the subtle warmth of wood with the raw concrete’s Japanese aesthetic, portraying a beautiful and happy scene.
The Muji design style expresses pure and simple beauty through natural and wooden materials. Across different generations and lifestyles, it aims to preserve a minimalist daily life and cherished moments with family, while also embracing lively and joyful gatherings. This design style depicts life’s expressions with an elegant and textured tone, enduring over time. It weaves together emotions and atmosphere through accumulated moments of subtle happiness, continuously nurturing the warmth of home.
